Kiwi bands crash Crusty party of the decade
Motocross mayhem joins forces with some of the biggest names in Kiwi music at the 2005 Boost Mobile Crusty Demons 10th Anniversary Tour in New Zealand during March.
The Auckland and Wellington Crusty Demons events will now feature performances from some of New Zealand’s best known bands.
Music and motocross fans at both venues get Blindspott and The D4 while Auckland fans at Western Springs will also rock to Shihad, Deceptikonz, The Have, The Bleeders, Goodnight Nurse and 48 May.
In Wellington’s Westpac Stadium, Paseload and Autozamm fill the bill.
The bands perform before the main event. Then 16 of the world’s finest freestyle motocross riders take to the turf putting their bikes through various insane aerial stunts in the name of entertainment. A big feature of the Shows will be the backflipping quad bikes & snowmobile – a first for the southern hemisphere.
“Music’s a key part of the Crusty Demons experience and always will be,” says Michael Porra from Rush Sports & Event International the tour organiser.
“I am overwhelmed by the quality of NZ music at the moment and am stoked to headline our upcoming Auckland Crusty Show with Shihad. With these top Kiwi groups now added to the show the party of the decade just keeps getting bigger – at no extra cost to the fans.”
In 2004 the Crusty Demons electrified more than 23,000 Aucklanders at a packed out Western Springs Stadium with their high-powered mix of motocross mayhem, buxom babes and freestyle frenzy.
The Boost Mobile Crusty Demons 10th Anniversary Tour includes all star cast of some of the greatest freestyle motocross riders in the world.
Among the big names at the all-new Crusty Tour are triple X Games Gold medallist, Mike “The Godfather” Metzger, FMX hardman Larry Linkogle, Adam Jones, Dan Pastor and Mad Mike Jones. Joining the yanks to thrill the Kiwi crowds are some of New Zealand’s best such as Nick Franklin, Luke Smith & Dan Frew. Bubba & the ever popular Crusty Babes will also be on hand to celebrate this Crusty milestone.
