Winning Wheel Winners Still To Come Forward From Waiheke Island, Papatoetoe, Hastings, Invercargill, Tauranga And Wellington
Seven Lotto Winning Wheel winners are still to claim their chance to spin and win up to $1 million on Lotto's Winning Wheel, New Zealand Lotteries Commission Acting Chief Executive, Quinton Hall, said today.
He says that since Winning Wheel started on Saturday's live Lotto draw in August this year, 21 Lotto players from all over New Zealand have claimed their prize and spun and won. The biggest winner walked away with a $500,000 house and land package.
"We want to make sure our other seven winners come forward and claim their chance to win big on Winning Wheel," says Mr Hall.
"They have up to a year to claim their prize and we'd like to offer our own New Years' resolution: all Lotto players should get any outstanding tickets checked, especially those players who bought tickets at:

"Winning tickets are identified by the serial number which is located at the bottom right-hand corner of every Lotto ticket.
"Players can check their ticket by going to any Lotto store and running their ticket through a terminal, or by logging on to NZLC's website and checking their ticket against the winning serial numbers.
"Once a ticket is identified by staff in any Lotto store, Lotto's Winning Wheel winners will immediately be put on the phone to NZLC representatives in Wellington," he said.
As well as having their big chance to win up to $1 million on Winning Wheels winners, who come to Wellington with a support person, experience an all-expenses paid weekend staying at the luxury Duxton Hotel, going on shopping trip with a stylist to choose a new outfit for their TV appearance, having a meal with a Lotto Presenter and hair and make-up done at the draw.
"We work hard to make Winning Wheel a once-in-a-lifetime experience," says Mr Hall.
"The changes we've made to Lotto have given the game much more variety which makes it more exciting for our players. We just never know from week to week what combination of prizes will be won," he says.
