From kilts to kitsch at the Vodafone id Dunedin Fashion Show 2005
Mens' kilts and 1950's kitsch mixed with classic sportswear will just be two features of the collections at the Vodafone
id Dunedin Fashion Show on Saturday 12 March 2005.
The show for 2005 features nine sections showing nine labels, along with a group section of three graduates and a brand
new section of new generation designers including the winner of the Vodafone id Dunedin Emerging Designer Awards.
The selected labels are Aduki, Carlson, Charmaine Reveley, Cherry Cotton Candy, Mild Red, Nom*D, Philippa Beaton, Rock
and Pillar, and Toni Darling.
The New Generation section features up and coming talent Joan Leach, Grant Mahey and the winner of the Vodafone id
Dunedin Emerging Designer Awards to be announced the evening before the show.
The special group section features upcoming designers Anjali Stewart, Clare Warburton and Marcia Hudson, all recent
graduates of the School of Fashion at Otago Polytechnic.
Tanya Carlson of Carlson says "Dunedin is unique in the sense of support it gives to the designers, we all know each
other which isn't always the case in some of the larger cities."
id Dunedin Committee Chairperson Susie Staley says id Dunedin is delighted to have Vodafone on board for the new
Vodafone id Dunedin Fashion Week 2005.
"It is going to be a very exciting week of fashion for Dunedin and its designers," says Ms Staley.
The show enters its sixth year in 2005 and is the highlight of the fashion week.

Fashion Show.
