Eminem named Honorary Priest of Raelian Movement
Las Vegas, Nevada, November 29, 2004 - Rael, leader of the International Raelian Movement (www.rael.org) has just named
Eminem an Honorary priest of the Raelian Movement for his latest song “Mosh”. (the video can be seen at
http://www.eminem.com/). This title is not given often, and only given to public figures not afraid of jeopardizing
their careers for their standing up for peace – especially in this time where the Bush administration calls all anti-war
comments as “unpatriotic”.
After seeing this video, Rael commented: “This is wonderful. It will help reach millions of young people, who are
otherwise uninterested by politics because they see the lies and hypocrisy coming from Washington, remember the truth
about violence. All violence. This video wisely illustrates the effectiveness of “fear campaigns” whether imposed
locally or nationally, and shows that fear campaigns make people do anything a government tells them to. Fear is the
basis of racism and violence and governments know how to capitalize on this very well. More and more public figures are
speaking up against the war and are still being supported by the public – which means that most Americans are also
against this unjustified war. This song will connect with millions of young people, many of who already know the
senseless nature of war and especially this particular invasion.”
Rappers are never afraid of controversy and this is a great example of freedom of speech, which, if the Bush
administration has its way with the Patriot acts, will be taken away from US citizens. Additionally, it would be wise
for the American population to realize the stunning similarities in the current US atmosphere of blind patriotism and
the beginnings of Nazi Germany.
