In aid of The Fred Hollows Foundation
This sensational gala dinner is to be held in Auckland 7.00pm Thursday 11th November in the Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Auckland.
It was over 50 years since our foremost adventurer, Sir Edmund Hillary, together with Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, completed the first successful ascent of the world's highest mountain, Mt Everest.
It will be a star-studded evening with a welcome from the RT Hon Helen Clark, entertainment from Gary McCormick and Anika Moa. MC for the evening is raconteur and renown cartoonist Tom Scott.
There will be a number of high profile celebrities attending the event including Dominic Bowden, Lana Coc-Kroft, Simon Dallow, Jude Dobson, Paul Henry, Alison Mau, Colin Meads, Bernice Mene, Dion Nash, Karen Olsen, Kerry Smith, Burton Shipley, Shaun Summerfield, Kelly Swanson-Roe, Erika Takacs and Hillary Timmins.
The Fred Hollows Foundation (NZ) is a not-for-profit, community-based, non-government development organisation. The Foundation was launched in Australia and New Zealand in 1992, just five months before Professor Fred Hollows passed away. Their vision is a world where no one is needlessly blind.
Tickets for “An Evening with Sir Edmund Hillary” are $200 + GST each or $2000 + GST for a table of ten and are available by contacting Toni Durant toni@internationalevents.co.nz
