MUSIC MANAGERS' FORUM - AWARDS WINNERS
The Music Managers' Forum (NZ) wishes to congratulate all the nominees and winners from the inaugural Music Management
Awards on Saturday night. The fact that such professional achievement awards such as these can now be presented shows
just how much the NZ music industry has grown and developed over the last few years.
The competition for Best Manager was especially tough and in the end became a dead heat between two of the very best in
the business. Self-Management is a tough gig when you've got to play as well as do the paperwork, but the winner has
shown how effectively this job can be done.
The Industry Champion award was to recognise the support of other organisations which have assisted the MMF in
establishing. It would be true to say without the NZ Music Industry Commision's assistance, the MMF would never have got
off the ground in this country.
Finally, Outstanding Achievement In Music Management went to the manager who has raised the bar for management standards
in this country and set a professional level for other managers to aspire to.
Once again, congratulations to all our awards recipients!
