South by Southwest Registrations
If you are planning to attend South by Southwest (SXSW) in 2005, the time to act is now! You can find out about the
registration process at www.sxsw.com. The registration rates do not, however, apply to bands who are accepted to perform
at the conference.
Registration rates will increase as SXSW approaches. Currently a Music Badge is available for US$395, and a Platinum
Badge (also covering the Film and Interactive parts of SXSW) is US$590. These rates apply until the 19th of November, at
which time they will increase. Further price increases will occur on the 14th of January and 11th of February, and
culminate in a walk-up rate of US$545 for the Music Badge and US$810 for the Platinum Badge.
In short, if you are thinking about going, the sooner you register the better!
Bands can apply online at http://2005.sxsw.com/music/showcase/form/. The fee for online applications is US$20. All
international applications must be completed no later than October 29th, although we encourage bands to apply as soon as
