Festival Of Colour Launches Web Site Arts lovers throughout New Zealand and around the world can now check out Wanaka's
exciting new Festival of Colour with the launch of its web site www.festivalofcolour.co.nz.
This celebration of the arts will take place from 27 April to 1 May 2005 featuring local, national and international
acts to include music, dance, theatre, film and other visual arts. The timing also coincides with the last week of the
autumn school holidays, providing a strong family flavour to the event. "Arts festivals are a wonderful opportunity for
everyone to plug in their imaginations, to enjoy the creative worlds of so many different artists and performers," said
Philip Tremewan, festival director. "The festival web site will keep everyone up to date with the latest developments as
they happen."
Currently the web site, designed by iNow Internet Solutions, gives background information on the festival, as well as
information on how to support the event with details of the patrons and friends schemes. The news section is constantly
updated with latest development to keep regular visitors in touch with what¹s happening.
Once the festival programme is launched in January 2005, the site will feature the full programme with profiles on the
artists and performers along with full details of how to buy tickets for the various events. "We are really pleased with
the web site and already feedback has been positive - we have already had people joining our mailing list and contacting
us for more information", said Katy Macpherson, festival co-ordinator. The Festival of Colour is a biennial event
organised by the Southern Lakes Arts Festival Trust, a charitable trust. For more information visit the website
