features international dance artist Guy Ryan in a new solo work - a courageous and uniquely beautiful performance of
dance, theatre and projected audio-visual imagery. Set to new music by electronic wizard Charlotte 90, 'The Fall Guy' is
an exploration of the human desire for flight and all that it implies, from the lofty ideal of transcendence to the
gritty reality that unaided, we will never be able to fly. It is an exquisite performance in which the mythology of
Icarus meets miniature planes, Muriwai gannets and the wonders and horrors of modern flying.

Guy Ryan is one of New Zealand's leading young choreographic artists. Having co-directed and performed in 'Terrain',
winning the 'best production award' at Fringe NZ 2004, he has recently returned from Europe, where he danced with Random
Scream Company in Brussels and studied at the Impulstanz Festival in Vienna on a prestigious Dance Web scholarship. He
has danced in numerous productions over the last ten years in NZ, Australia, Ireland, England, Belgium and Switzerland.
