Greetings from artscalendar.co.nz
Art Attack! One Night, Ten Galleries, Seventeen Exhibitions Wednesday, 7 July 2004, 5 - 8 pm
In a unique late night opening early next month, ten leading Christchurch galleries will feature important New Zealand and international exhibitions. With a range of contemporary and historical painting, photography, sculpture, object art and site specific installation art.
Designed to provide a sense of community, this annual event offers a relaxed environment for art aficionados and novices to appreciate a wide variety of visual arts. It is also an opportunity for people who haven't visited local art galleries recently to share the gallery experience in the company of others.
A free bus will run on 15-minute cycles to four stops connecting the participating galleries, located in the two "art districts" in town, creating another chance to socialise en route.
