Fisher & Paykel Appliances signs with Emirates Team New Zealand
Fisher & Paykel Appliances and Emirates Team New Zealand are pleased to announce that they have concluded an exclusive supplier agreement covering the America’s Cup challenge and the pre-cup regattas.
“We are delighted to have the support of Fisher & Paykel Appliances. Like Emirates Team New Zealand they are prepared to challenge the boundaries in their businesses,” said Grant Dalton managing director, Emirates Team New Zealand.
The appliance company sees the opportunity for additional exposure through the sponsorship by involving its customers, suppliers and staff, here and abroad, in promotional activities.
“In New Zealand advertising and promotions will be built around this arrangement. The company will also utilise the relationship to assist in promoting its growth in Europe and the USA. Being able to link the Fisher & Paykel brand to the activities taking place in the USA, Northern Europe and later in Valencia, will add further credibility to us, with our customers,” said John Bongard, Managing Director, Fisher & Paykel Appliances, “In New Zealand we can, again, join with our dealers and the public to get behind the challenge.”
This sponsorship rekindles the relationship between the two organisations that started during the last “Loyal” campaign, with both organisations expressing a keen desire to work with each other again.

Line 7 returns for it’s fifth America’s Cup
Line 7 is proud to once again be an exclusive supplier of team clothing for New Zealand America’s Cup challenges. Line 7 has been involved with the team since 1992, and believe Emirates Team New Zealand has all the ingredients to be successful and represent New Zealand and Line 7 on the international stage.
Having Team New Zealand based in Spain gives Line 7 the opportunity to develop the brand in Europe and provide an exceptional promotional vehicle to build business and relationships there. The association with the team has helped the Line 7 brand expand from a small sailing clothing brand into a full range leisure brand for men and women.
The success has continued with expansion into Australia where there are now five exclusive Line 7 stores and a similar sales success that has been achieved in New Zealand.
The successful licence product programme for Team New Zealand has allowed Line 7 to build expertise in this area with the brand being involved in the Sydney Olympics, Oxford University and will provide the supporters clothing for the up and coming Lions Tour in 2005.

P Nedlloyd to welcome the Team aboard
“P Nedlloyd is excited at the opportunity to help make it plain sailing to Valencia for Emirates Team New Zealand,” said New Zealand managing director Tony Gibson at the announcement of the shipping line’s Exclusive Supplier sponsorship.
“We understand the complexities of moving New Zealand’s trade across the globe. “We could see that if Emirates Team New Zealand is to challenge Alinghi in 2007, then shipping is going to be a key part of competing on the other side of the world.
A two-boat America’s Cup campaign involves a substantial amount of equipment, aside from the yachts themselves.
“P Nedlloyd has experience with this type of cargo and, with our significant presence in shipping between New Zealand and Europe, we saw the opportunity of supporting Emirates Team New Zealand in a ‘hands-on’ role as supplier of their shipping needs.”
P Nedlloyd has an extensive presence in Europe and the company is enthusiastic about being involved with Emirates Team New Zealand’s campaign in the Mediterranean and the opportunities for promoting the company’s business in the region.
