EATING MEDIA LUNCH
TUESDAY JUNE 1
Eating Media Lunch returns for a second season on June 1.
With its mixture of satire and comment, the show hit a chord with New Zealand viewers in it’s debut 2003 season, attracting that rare mixture of critical acclaim and high ratings. ( The season finale out-rated the American smash hit Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.)
Hosted by Jeremy Wells, the show will once again reveal the best and worst of the media from broadcast to broadsheet.
Anita McNaught also returns as EMLs European correspondent.
Her first encounter is with controversial and respected war correspondent Robert Fisk.
Also returning:
Anthony Ellison’s animated trouble-maker, Media Dog.
The Celebrity Sharemarket.
100 greatest moments of New Zealand T.V.
“We’re going under the radar this time to winkle out obscure and alternative media as well as brown-nosing the big players,” explains Jeremy.
The first episode examines the most sublime and shocking moments of 2004…so far.
And Jeremy rubs suits with broadcasting’s finest at the Qantas Media Awards.
EML is produced by Claire Logan and Paul Casserly at Great Southern Television for TV2.
