FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Director Of Programming For TV3
TV3 has appointed Beverley McGarvey to the role of Director of Programming, to replace Kristin Marlow who earlier this year announced her decision to return to Australia at the end of 2004.
Beverley is currently Scheduling and Promotions Manager at another TV3 - in Ireland.
Both TV3 in New Zealand and Ireland are part of the CanWest Global Group.
Beverley has more than 10 years experience in television, working both in England and Ireland.
Originally working in television production, she has extensive experience in producing and directing roles as well as on-air promotions.
Beverley has been in her current role at TV3 Ireland for approximately four years.
As a result of the appointment, the role of Associate Director of Programming will be re-shaped, with added responsibilities for programme acquisition and local programming. Kelly Martin, current Associate Director of Programming, will fill this expanded role and also join the TV3 management team.
“This has been an important position for TV3 to fill, and an extensive international search has resulted in Beverley’s appointment. I am also pleased we have been able to expand Kelly’s role to accommodate her strengths in local production and international programme acquisition,” said TV3 Managing Director, Rick Friesen.
Beverley McGarvey will relocate to Auckland, and take up her new role by early September.
