Beauty And The Beats
The second annual Beauty and the Beats dance party will feature some of New Zealand's top DJs. Timmy Schumacher and Greg Churchill, along with many other top NZ DJs, will be performing at Coast Bar and Lounge on Saturday 8 May.
Greg Churchill who has been putting together parties and hosting radio shows since 1984, is undoubtedly a legend within the NZ dance scene and is happy to support Youthline. "I like to commit to a few events and stick with them - that's why I'll be returning for Beauty and the Beats 2004. Youthline do a great job offering support for young people so I'm happy to help them out," says Churchill.
Event organizer, Lizzy Rahui, is excited about the scene's support of the 2004 event.
'It is really heartening that so many people from the dance scene want to be involved and support Youthline. Events like this work well when people use their talents to contribute to a great night,' says Lizzy Rahui.
Youthline has been working with young people and their families for more than 34 years. It's not just about people at risk: Youthline provides development pathways for the many young people who want to help their peers and communities in positive, practical ways. Events such as Beauty and the Beats provide a valuable opportunity and setting in which this can be achieved.
Tickets are available for $15 from Play, Real Groovy, DMC High Street and http://www.response.co.nz
