Miss Moon bio:
Miss Moon is an artist / activist currently living in Sydney, Her work is a mixture of performance, video and direct action that aims to create situations that are engaging, exciting and disruptive. She has worked with collectives including, Reclaim the Streets Sydney, Sheila Autonomista, No WTO, and refugee action groups.
She will be presenting a spoken word and video set; a funky show and tell of the autonomist underground in Sydney, there will also be a skillshare/workshop on creative troublemaking.
"""This is a propaganda war If images and the media serve to perpetuate capitalism, then the reverse must also be possible. Through the use of images ideological and economic factors can be swayed. If image and market are capitals most important tools in the movement of power, then these too are its weakness. the media is a site of struggle.
this is a sound scape, a manifesto, these are the televisual high lights a report back from autonomist kids in sydney playing with the media, cracking the code and fucking shit up, in the apocalypse culture this is what we do for fun. Entangled with a critical look at the media and this is a hands on riot through some of the high points of affinity group action in the city and surrounds, from reclaim the streets to blockades, performances and parties. A head on collision of theory with street stylin autonomist action, anecdotes and revolutionary rants.
I dont want to start a dialouge, I want to fuel the fight , I want to inspire other trouble makers to get out there and go sick."""
