Photography Holiday In Central Otago
The latest adventure in learning from Creative South Ltd gives keen amateur photographers the opportunity to learn from award-winning photographer, Anna Allan, with the vibrant colours of the autumnal Central Otago landscape as their subject.
The three-day Glorious Autumn course includes photographic tours around Lake Wanaka, Queenstown and Arrowtown under the guidance of Anna Allan whose knowledge and expertise in the area is widely respected.
As with all Creative South courses, the tutor:student ratio is kept deliberately low to ensure dedicated tuition and a personalised service. The course’s focus is hands-on with plenty of one-on-one problem solving making certain students come away with tangible advances in their photographic knowledge and technique.
Course tutor, Anna Allan, believes that studying photography with such an inspirational subject will greatly enhance the learning experience.
“This area does autumn like nowhere else – the colours are spectacular and the light has an astonishing clarity,” said Allan. “This course will not only allow people to develop their photographic skills but also capture one of the most beautiful places in the world on film. I’ve been photographing the seasons here for years and autumn never ceases to amaze me.”
Allan is highly qualified in the field of professional photography with 20 years of international experience. She has worked as a freelance photographer in London and Europe, and has had her work commissioned by a diverse range of clients, from documentary work for the Museum of London through to the recent advertising campaign for the Treble Cone Ski Area in Wanaka, New Zealand. She is also the recipient of two Silver Merits from the 2002 Kodak Gold Awards.
The Glorious Autumn Photography Course will run from 28 to 30 April 2004, based in Lake Wanaka, and costs $595 per person. For further information, visit www.creativesouth.co.nz or call 0800 699262.
