Nearness, a play by Brian Hotter premieres at BATS Theatre for Fringe NZ. This tender and original work is about a
couple who bicker, fight and make love; bicker fight and make love. Nearness is the second play from Wellington
actor/writer Brian Hotter and is proudly supported by PlayMarket and BATS through BATSLab, a scheme that provides
professional development for writers. Come and be rocked with laughter with the realness of Nearness.

who¹s wondering if inviting Caroline was a really BAD IDEA. Inviting Caroline premiered at the WEL Energy Academy of
Performing Arts in 2003 where it was coined, Œa future kiwi cult classic¹. Under the dramatic guidance of John Davies
and with the technical expertise of Michael Knapp, this fast-paced energetic comedy is set to invite, ignite and explode
Fringe NZ.

Shelley. Monster Productions presents a collaboration between dancers Adrian Smith, Matt Gibbons, Bronwyn Hayward and
multimedia artist Mic Watts with lighting design by Glen Ashworth. Wellington and Auckland based artists, they are truly
inspired by the tale they present for the audiences re-creation. Reanimating Frankenstein as the making of a shared
dream for creating upcoming generations of humanity. Incorporating serious theatre, live multimedia and dancey dreams.
An exploration of the text and its wider transmission through the culture industry, sparking associations and screen
conflicts that project onto the mind itself!
