Mr Puniverse And Gym Decathlon At Royal Easter Show
Calling all males with below average bicep measurements!
Club Physical’s 2004 Mr Puniverse competition, on at this year’s Royal Easter Show from 7 to 12 April at the Auckland Showgrounds, will see contestants brave the stage to compare their ‘lack of muscle’.
The light-hearted competition is open to males of all ages, with sections for men and boys under 14 yrs. However only entrants with below average measurements will be accepted to compete.
There will be prizes for every contestant, with a ‘pose down’ during each heat helping to decide the winner. The contestant deemed to have the puniest physique will be judged the overall winner.
Hardy gym goers are also being called on to compete for the title of fittest super athlete in the Club Physical Gym Decathlon.
The decathlon is open to both men and women, with the only restriction being that all entrants must hold current gym memberships.
Competitors will perform a series of exercises for ten minutes each without stopping. The man and woman to complete the most reps will be judged the overall winners.
Both competitions are live on stage from 7.30-8.30pm each night from 7 to 11 April at the Logan Campbell Centre. Heats will be held over the first four nights, with the grand finals on 11 April.
Prizes include holiday trips, Club Physical gym memberships and body building programmes, weight gain supplements and t-shirts.
To register for either the Mr Puniverse and Gym Decathlon competitions, email yuryt@clubphysical.co.nz or phone 09 417 0080.
Admission is only $30 for a family five, $15 an adult, $5 a child and free for under-2 yrs, which represents good value family entertainment. Entry to all shows and attractions, excluding the carnival rides, is included in the entry price at no extra cost.
And with all attractions under cover except for the carnival, it’s a great day out even if the weather is bad.
