New Members to Treble Cone Look Forward to Making 2004 the Year to Advance its Reputation as the Premier Ski Area in
Australasia
WANAKA, NEW ZEALAND, 2 March 2004 – Treble Cone, the largest ski area in the South Island, has announced several changes
to its management team today.
Brent Walton has resigned as General Manager for Treble Cone to pursue other career interests. The Acting General
Manager will be Treble Cone’s present Commercial Manager, Jackie van der Voort.
Anna Yeates has been appointed as Treble Cone’s new Marketing Manager. Anna will be responsible for maintaining Treble
Cone’s icon status and reputation for its vast and varied terrain, fast and efficient lift capacity and superb
facilities and service. All of which are rated highly against established operators in the North America and Europe.
She will also represent Treble Cone in various industry organisations such as Wanaka Winter Marketing Group and Ski
Council and the NZ Tourism Board marketing group.
“Anna brings to the role extensive experience in the snow sports and tourism industry,” says Jackie van der Voort,
Acting General Manager for Treble Cone. “Her focus on relationship building and the high value she will place on
networking opportunities in order to increase the profile of Treble Cone, makes her a welcome addition to our small
energetic team.”
According to Anna, “Industry research tells us that there are 300,000 New Zealanders who would like to go skiing but are
unsure as to how to go about it. My aim is to endeavor to simplify the leisure activity and make it accessible to all.”
Prior to joining Treble Cone, Anna was the Marketing Coordinator for Ruapehu Alpine Lifts Ltd and Assistant Product
Manager for Agriculture ITO in Wellington. She has also worked with AEGON (UK) Ltd and Chase Fleming in London and
worked as an Industry Advisor for Sport, Fitness and Recreation ITO in Wellington.
