NEW DIRECTION FOR TE PAPA CHEF
After over 5 years with Te Papa, Executive Chef Peter Thornley will be leaving the museum in April to pursue food and beverage projects in Auckland.
Peter's commitment to Te Papa's Icon Catering will continue through a consultancy role which will include developing menus, training and overseeing the catering of functions and events.
Te Papa acknowledges the contribution Peter has made to the dining experience at the museum, initially with Icon Restaurant and more recently through the very successful Icon Catering.
Peter has been influential in positioning Te Papa's Icon Catering as one of New Zealand's top functions and catering businesses.
'Te Papa has been a hugely enjoyable and very rewarding experience and it has been wonderful developing Icon Catering and seeing it go from strength to strength.' said Peter Thornley today. 'I am looking forward to building on this success in my new consultancy role at Te Papa'.
