Bike Day Out with Sarah Ulmer is on the way
Ever thought of yourself as an Olympic cyclist? Well now's your chance! Bike Day Out with Kiwi cycling champion Sarah
Ulmer is coming up on Sunday March 28 2004.
The inaugural event will be held at Clevedon Showgrounds and comprises four rides - two for women, a 35km ride and a
65km ride; and two for children, an 8km ride and a 16km ride.
World Cup Gold Medallist Sarah Ulmer is excited about the day: "Bike Day Out is a fantastic opportunity for Kiwis to get
out there and get cycling," says Sarah. "It'll be a great day with heaps of fun activities for kids, mums, dads - the
whole family."
Sarah is passionate about cycling and keen to encourage more New Zealanders to get out on bikes: "Exercise is an
important part of healthy living - and, obviously cycling is my favourite form of exercise! I love getting people out on
bikes and Bike Day Out is the perfect chance to do just that."
Entry forms for the Bike Day Out are available online at http://www.bikedayout.co.nz - the website also features tips from Sarah, including a suggested training programme, safety considerations,
