Weather Cannot Stop Impact World Tour
Undaunted by floodwaters and torrential rain, Impact World Tour is determined to go ahead with its performances in the
Wellington region this week, with additional shows in Hutt to make up for a cancelled event last Saturday night.
Venues in Porirua have been changed in a last-minute bid to hold the shows in a protected area and four extra shows have
been added to the Lower Hutt schedule.
In Porirua, shows will now be: Tuesday 17th Feb – TX International performing at Hartham Place, Porirua, 8pm Wednesday
18th Feb – Island Breeze performing at Hartham Place, Porirua, 8pm
In Lower Hutt four extra shows will now take place to replace the cancelled show, originally on Saturday 14th Feb.
In Lower Hutt, shows will now be: Thursday 19th Feb – GX International are performing at Walter Nash Stadium, 10 Tocker
Street, Taita. Performances start at 7pm and 9pm. Friday 20th Feb – GX International and Team Xtreme are performing at
Walter Nash Stadium, 10 Tocker Street, Taita. Performances start at 7pm and 9pm.
At this time, performances in Wellington City are still scheduled for 8pm, Feb 19th-21st at the Basin Reserve-TX on Feb
19th, Island Breeze on Feb 20th, and GX on Feb 21st.
GX International brings together young men and women from all over the world who perform aggressive skating and biking
maneuvers, as well as the very latest in hip-hop dance grooves, all set to a pumping, heart-pounding beat.
Team Xtreme will blow you away with their amazing feats of strength and athletic prowess. Ripping whole telephone books
in half, bending steel bars, shattering stacks of concrete bricks, and other displays of power leaves audiences
breathless.
Island Breeze showcases the beauty of Pacific and Maori culture in a programme the whole family can enjoy. Stunning
costumes, fireknife dancers, and pounding Pacific drums are all part of this intense, awe-inspiring performance.
Performers will also share personal stories and promote a positive life message with warnings against alcohol, drugs and
gang-life.
Already over 60,000 people have seen the shows over the past four weeks and it is hoped that this week will still see
some amazing crowds.
