Presenting the all-new The Montana International Jazz n' Blues Fest in the Auckland Town Hall - THE EDGE and on Waiheke
Island this Easter. Now in its 13th year, the Festival has grown to become the leading Jazz 'n' Blues event in New
Zealand.
Nathan Haines featuring brother Joel Haines and father Kevin Haines will play joining a growing list of globally
acclaimed recording and performance artists. "It's fantastic to have an internationally renowned musician like Nathan
onboard" enthuses Festival Director David Paquette. "And he's a local boy!"
While Nathan will be familiar to most, all 27 performers at this year's festival are well known in their respective
countries. This year the international acts are all new, never been seen in New Zealand, and represent a broader
spectrum of musical styles.
This great line-up of artists will appear in a series of evening themed concerts in The Auckland Town Hall - THE EDGE,
and on Waiheke Island during Easter. We are proud to be using Auckland's premier concert venue, the Auckland Town Hall -
THE EDGE as well as continuing our long association with Waiheke Island by presenting concerts in both locations.
The popular Daytime "Jazzabout" event is back. 16 venues linked together by all-day shuttle buses. Festivalgoers can
relax with a glass of wine and the smooth sounds of jazz on some of New Zealand's award winning and world famous
vineyards or waterfront cafes, hotels and restaurants. The Nightime Concert Series over all five days of Easter features
27 international performers in the seated luxury of the Auckland Town Hall or the less formal "Jazz Central" auditorium
on Waiheke Island. Each concert features two international acts and this year in its expanded form, concerts will happen
simultaneously on the island and in the city.
