Calling all artists - amateur and professional!
You have until Friday 27 February to get your entries in for this year’s Royal Easter Show Art Competitions.
The Royal Easter Show Art Competition is the largest art competition in New Zealand. It is open to artists of all ages,
non-professional and professional, with thousands of dollars worth of prizes to be won.
There are painting, photography, ceramics and woodturning sections, with numerous categories within each section.
Painting categories include for example, watercolour, oil or opaque, mixed media, mouth and foot, print making and
people’s choice.
Entrants have the opportunity to sell their works in the Art Hall for the duration of the Royal Easter Show, from 7 to
12 April at the Auckland Showgrounds, with the display attracting the largest viewing audience of any art show in the
country.
Art enthusiasts and potential purchasers should also get themselves along to this year’s Royal Easter Show, as a large
proportion of the works on display will be for sale at reasonable prices.
There will also be a demonstration area, with demonstrations of picture framing, painting and more.
