Flying the Creative Flag
We have fabric, we have paints and now we need you and your creativity and enthusiasm for art. The Learning Connexion is taking part in the Wellington City Council's Great Art Doors day with Flags on Top, an opportunity for members of the public to come along and paint up a storm to create fabulous flags.
Come along to the Ilott Green (just off Civic Square) on Valentine's day between 11am and 3pm. Join staff and students from The Learning Connexion in painting flags. This is a free event and a fun chance to let inspiration flow and to find your inner artist.
Your fabulous flags will then be paraded across to the Frank Kitts Lagoon grass mound and will then be on display for the world to see. Wet day alternative for Flags on Top is February 15th.
These kinetic masterpieces will then be on display again at the Island Bay festival on the 21st and 22nd of February and then again, adorning the streets for the Cuba Street Festival on the 28th and 29th of February. Come one, come all!
