TRANZ RAIL'S SPONSORSHIP OF ONCE WERE WARRIORS BENEFITS THE COMMUNITY.
Tranz Rail and the Once Were Warriors team is proud to announce that Tranz Rail and Tranz Link will provide transport,
logistic and freight support as sponsorship for the stage musical production of Once Were Warriors.
Tranz Rail spokesperson Sue Foley says, "Tranz Rail is delighted to be connected with such an exciting production which
has very real benefits to the community. We strongly support Jim Moriarty's work with young people, and see sponsorship
of this production as a great way to follow that up. Tranz Rail touches a lot of communities through its business and
can see the need for his work. We hope people in the community will come out to support this production too."
Once Were Warriors' general manager, Allan Silcock, says "support of our production like this will enhance the quality
of the show and is a practical way for a business to be get in behind our associated aims of combating violence in the
community."
Once Were Warriors the musical drama will have its world premiere in Christchurch on 2nd March. It plays at the Theatre
Royal until10 March. The Dunedin season is at the Regent Theatre from 16 to 19 March. The show then returns to
Christchurch from 24 March. The Auckland season is from 10 to 28 April at the St James Theatre, then Wellington's Opera
House hosts the show from 3 to 22 May. Bookings at Ticketek are open now.
