NZGIRL Flies In The Face Of Big Day Outers
Big Day Outers in Auckland were left scratching their heads this afternoon as a light plane flew above Ericsson Stadium towing a straight talking banner that would cause any red blooded kiwi bloke to cringe.
The saying “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” was on the lips of many, while others were just wondering who the hell Scott Kelly was.
The banner, sporting the words “SCOTT KELLY HAS A SMALL DICK”, was organised by online magazine nzgirl and flown above the Big Day Out for two hours from 3pm today. It was followed by a second plane with the message “DON’T MESS WITH NZ GIRLS – nzgirl.co.nz”.
nzgirl Managing Director Jenene Crossan says the stunt was a play on the fact that many girls at some time in their lives have fantasised about revenge on an ex-boyfriend.
“nzgirl inspires girls to be confident about themselves and who they are and today’s stunt was the ultimate in-your-face message that we’re not to be messed with,” says Jenene.
“The Big Day Out audience appreciate humour and out-there acts and it was a great way to spice up their Big Day Out experience”.
Crossan started the website four years ago when she was only 21 years of age. At the time she felt there were few internet mediums that offered relevant and exciting information to the youth audience. The site offers advice on fashion, relationships and careers as well as the latest movie and book reviews.
Since its inception nzgirl has been named e-business of the year in 2001 at the Computer Excellence Awards and has won accolades from parents and its audience.
