Learn to Surf Workshops
A great opportunity is being offered to young people of the Linwood area aged 11 - 15 years to learn to surf or to improve their surfing skills with qualified coach Aaron Lock and his skilled instructors. The learn to surf workshop will be held over 3 days from 1.30 - 4.45pm from Wed 14 to Friday 16 January at Sumner Beach.
There are a few places left to be filled and it costs only $15 which covers everything you need including transport to and from Diverse Cafe, wetsuits, surfboard and instruction. To book your place please contact Diverse Cafe - a new cafe for youth on Buckley's Road opposite Eastgate. Phone 381 8619.
This exciting programme for Linwood youth has been coordinated by Christchurch City Council Leisure with support from the Hagley Ferrymead Community Board.
