April Bruce announces departure from TVNZ
Sports Presenter, April Bruce (nee Ieremia) says that she is leaving ONE News later this month to allow more time for her young family.
"I have found it quite difficult to balance the needs of our baby with the increased hours I have been expected to work at TVNZ on ONE News since returning from maternity leave," said April.
TVNZ's Head of News & Current Affairs, Bill Ralston, said April had been an important member of the ONE News team and would be missed both inside and outside the newsroom. "April has been loved by our audience over the past 10 years and has contributed tremendously to TVNZ in both Sport and other programmes."
April will leave ONE News on 19 December 2003.
