Graduating dance students secure contracts for 2004
New Zealand School of Dance graduates secure professional dance contracts
The New Zealand School of Dance held its graduation ceremony on Saturday night (November 15) with Her Excellency The Governor-General of New Zealand, The Honourable Dame Silvia Cartwright, PCNZM, DBE guest of honour for the occasion.

Dame Silvia presented the graduating students with their certificates and diplomas at the conclusion of the graduation performance. The full capacity audience consisting of proud parents; friends and distinguished guests applauded them for their hard work and dedication over their years at the School.
Six of the graduating students have secured professional dance contracts for 2004 with companies both nationally and internationally.
Hana Tipa and Yu Hui will take up contracts with the Royal New Zealand Ballet. 20-year-old Hana Tipa was awarded the annual Todd Corporation Scholarship which will help contribute to Hana's salary for her first year with the RNZB. Yu Sudo joins the Singapore Dance Theatre; Halina Wolyncewicz and Erynne Gleeson join New Zealand's Footnote Dance Company and Kyle Stevens will cross the Tasman to join West Australian Ballet.
These young students have been offered the opportunity that many strive and yearn for, one that is earned through their unique and individual talent.
