Artists throughout the country unite for Aratoi exhibition
Some of New Zealand’s most well-known artists will have work on display in a major fundraising exhibition, 50/50, which kicks off with a gala opening at 5pm this Saturday 22nd November.
Art lovers and collectors alike will be treated to a stunning collection of works, many of which have been created especially for the exhibition. All works are for sale, with proceeds going to support Aratoi’s programmes.
Featured artists include: John Bevan Ford Mark Braunias Dean Buchanan Gavin Chilcott Fatu Feu’u Tony de Latour Lauren Lysaght Robert McLeod Denis O’Connor Pamela Wolfe And many more!
Supporters of local art will not be disappointed either, with a strong representation from the Wairarapa, including Paul Melser, Paul Martinson, Janet Green, Megan Campbell and Harry Watson.
Aratoi Director Tracy Puklowski says that the exhibition is perfectly timed for those wanting to find a unique and lasting Christmas gift; “the exhibition runs until the 14th December, but we’re anticipating strong interest on the opening night! The prices are all very reasonable, and there are some fantastic bargains to be had”.
