Following the Lion Red Kiwis sensational victory over the Kangaroos on 18 October, North Harbour Stadium has reached an
agreement with the Vodafone Warriors to again hold a pre-season match at the Stadium in 2004.
Penrith Panthers the reigning Minor Premiers & NRL champions, proved a bogey team for the Vodafone Warriors in 2004 beating them four times, including, semis, two
competition round losses and a pre-season match.

against Cronulla bringing in 15,000 fans, its fantastic facilities and a close proximity to
the Vodafone Warriors fan base, is the ideal venue to play a top class side such as Penrith.
The match is confirmed for Sunday 29th February 2004. A kick off time is yet to be finalised but a 5.30pm main game
start is anticipated. Bartercard Cup teams, North Harbour Tigers will play Mount Albert Lions as a curtain raiser.

Shore City and Auckland residents love to support the Vodafone Warriors and its our aim to full the Stadium says North
Harbour Stadium General Manager, Wayne Scurrah.
Without a doubt, some of most exciting and memorable games over the years have come from league and as the venue, it is
an honour to be part of it all. New Zealanders have been incredibly supportive of the Vodafone Warriors and we will be
encouraging fans to come along to North Harbour Stadium in 2004 to watch their team play the best possible opposition in
the final game prior to the commencing 2004 NRL season.
