HANDS UP AND SHOW ME THE MOËT... & CHANDON
Sure to become a collector's item, Nom D's specially designed Moët & Chandon T-shirts for Fashion Week bring a New Zealand perspective to the French elegance of the world's most preferred champagne.
The black T-shirt features the gold Moët & Chandon crown and the words "Show Me The Moet" in white. The first three words are produced in mock "ransom note" lettering, tying in with the Mercedes Nom D Winter 2004 collection which is titled "Don't Shoot".
The T-shirt has a strictly limited run, and is being gifted to key media and buyers at L'Oreal New Zealand Fashion Week to celebrate the Nom D Winter show, scheduled for 8pm tonight, Auckland Showgrounds.
Kathy Sturge, Moët & Chandon brand manager, says the T-shirts bring together the brand values of Moët & Chandon and Nom D, and are the ultimate fashion accessory. "Nom D has done a fantastic job of capturing the elegance of Moët & Chandon and giving it that dark, intellectual edge that Nom D is renowned for."
Moët & Chandon has an intimate relationship with fashion, dating back two-and-a-half centuries ago to Versailles, where elegant women attributed their vivacious spirit to the champagne supplied by Monsieur Moët. Since then, Moët & Chandon has proved the perfect partner for all that is fashionable.
In 1952, Moët & Chandon formalised this partnership with a special event in Cannes to celebrate the House of Worth's spring fashion collection. More recently, Moët & Chandon's involvement in the fashion world has intensified, with glamorous, high profile outings at London Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week and a host of other Northern Hemisphere Fashion Events.
The champagne house further supports international couture shows, for example the extravagantly gorgeous collections from LVMH sister company Christian Dior. The champagne house also runs its own Fashion Awards and hosts celebrated designers at its beautiful base in Epernay, France.
Like all great fashion designers, Moët & Chandon has built its success by blending skill and expertise with artful inspiration. Moët & Chandon gives every occasion an elegant edge.
