i-D Magazine Confirmed For L'Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week
L'Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week is celebrating a unique collaboration that has resulted in the UK's influential i-D Magazine confirming for the New Zealand collections.
Nom D designer Margarita Robertson has been communicating with i-D Magazine stylist Alastair McKimm for some time now and has made it possible, with the assistance of sponsorship, for him to visit New Zealand during LNZFW.
The connection with L'Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week was sealed when strategic partner New Zealand Trade and Enterprise agreed to host, Ben McDade, a photographer from i-D Magazine to give the New Zealand collections and other editorial the required "i-D Magazine look"
L'Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week Managing Director, Pieter Stewart says the outcome is a win for everyone in New Zealand fashion.
"The personal international contacts of our designers are an invaluable asset. Nom-D has always been a great supporter of L'Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week. I see this collaboration as a great illustration of the way the collections are evolving to provide the best forum possible for New Zealand fashion."
Margarita Robertson of Nom D explains: "Alastair stair approached our PR agent based in London indicating he would love to work with us and he has featured our garments in several editorials."
"We are thrilled he is excited to be coming to LNZFW not only to work with us but also to look at what other fashion this country has to offer. The magazine is intending to shoot an editorial here and, after Fashion Week take a look at music, art and film in New Zealand."
The i-D Magazine team arrive in New Zealand for L'Oréal New Zealand Fashion weekend.
