Finn Qualify Spot For Athens
The Finn class completed the last of their 11 race series on Tuesday, the prenultimate day of the ISAF World Championships in Spain. Racing was postponed due to light conditions with a racing finally getting underway in a 7 knot "poniente" wind. NZL's Finn representatives, Clifton Webb and Peter Fox finished in 28th and 32nd place respectively in the world class fleet of 82 competitors. Webb's result was enough to qualify New Zealand's Finn spot at the 2004 Olympic Games, a trial will be held next year to determine who will take up that spot.
Andrew Murdoch is still within the top 10 in the highly competitive Laser fleet of 171 entries, finishing the day's two races in the light and shifty conditions with a (22, 14). Murdoch now lies in 9th br>
