Pine have been nominated for the 'Best Album' and 'Best Pop Album' at the B-Net awards and Fang have been nominated in

The Fang song Ghostwriter busted into the Number One spot on the BFM Top Ten this week.
Fang, Phoenix Foundation, Ghostplane - Kings Arms - This Saturday 19th July Don't forget, if you are in Auckland this
weekend head along to the Kings Arms on Saturday (19th July) to see Fang and two of Wellington's finest...Phoenix
Foundation and Ghostplane.
The whole thing should kick off shortly after 9pm in order to be finished before 12.45pm so the more sporting of you can
stay and watch the rugger at the Kings Arms - as it will be showing in both bars. So don't be late...
The Phoenix Foundation have just released their excellent 'Horsepower' album on Capital and their video for the song
"Let Me Die A Woman" directed by Richard Bell for One Collective, also won the Knack Award at this year's NZ Music Video
Awards. Ghostplane (formerly Dana Eclair) have also almost completed their most excellent debut album, and they feature
on the upcoming Arch Hill Compilation 'The Hill is Alive'.
Pine: Sunburn, Sewers and Sausages - New York and London
As you may have seen on various television news sources in New Zealand this week (TV1 News, TV3 News, Nightline and
Flipside), Pine have been hanging in New York and Europe working on suntans, videoing sausages (Stephen) and inspecting
Italian sewers (Hannah and Aaron) - and while they were at it they hit the stage for five killer shows. The biggest of
these were the Summerstage in Central park with King Kapisi, Greg Johnson and Wai. Apparently it was the first break in
the weather after some weeks of rain, and it sure looked nice on the telly. The two music industry type things were at
Cargo in London with Rubicon and the at Piano Bar in New York with the other Summerstage performers. Both were well
attended by the sort of people who should be there, reports (not from the band either) were that in New York they pulled
one out the bag and they even had the hardest core 'arms-folded-no-applause' music industry folk whooping it up in the
isles. In-between the band played two gigs in one night taxiing across town between the legendary CBGBs and a very nice
bar/art gallery called ISSUE. Nice one.
A big thanks to all the good folk who helped organise and/or fund the Summerstage stuff.
The Hill Is Alive: Arch Hill Compilation No2 Look out for this upcoming Arch Hill Compilation featuring Pine, Fang,
David Mulcahy, Gasoline Cowboy, the Pencils, Mestar, Ghostplane, Minisnap, John White, Salon Kingsadore and others out
on the 4th of September.
