The Lure of Shoes http://www.amplifier.co.nz/amp/view?item_id=6449
One of Auckland's lesser known musical gems. Led by talented singer songwriter James Moore (also an artist of some note) The Lure of Shoes (Shoes) have gigged periodically around Auckland for over 12 years. A talented song-smith, Moore's ear for interesting time signatures and song structures is combined with a real love, and understanding of melody. This translates into a set list where carefully crafted melodies sit comfortably alongside brief bursts of structured noise and energetic guitar riffery.
