Suzanne Prentice to sing with Auckland kids
Kiwi legend Suzanne Prentice is bringing her popular World Vision Kids for Kids concert to Auckland City, with over
1300 children from 37 local schools singing along.
The concerts will be held at the Dorothy Winstone Centre Auckland Girls' Grammar, on Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 and
Friday 27 June at 7.30pm. Tickets are available as door sales only, from 6.30pm.
Kids for Kids is a series of concerts involving primary and intermediate school children singing in a massed choir with
Suzanne Prentice. The concerts are a way for World Vision to thank schools for their participation in the 40 Hour
Famine.
Former New Zealand Entertainer of the Year, Suzanne Prentice, says the Kids for Kids concerts are the most satisfying
work she has ever done and after nearly 300 shows she has no plans to stop.
"I can say without any qualification that of all the great shows I've got to work on ? this is the most wonderful show
of all," Suzanne says.
World Vision concerts manager Russell Johnson says the concerts have been running for seven years and in that time have
involved over 100,000 children.
"In addition to helping impoverished children overseas, the concerts give Kiwi kids the opportunity to be stars for the
night. It gives them the chance to perform with a singer of international renown ? a memory that will remain with them
for the rest of their lives," he says.
Suzanne will perform with 1350 children from the following 37 schools:
