Kelly Osbourne Wows MTV Movie Awards Wearing Karen Walker
Kelly Osbourne chose a stunning Karen Walker black satin prom dress to present and interview guests at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards filmed in Los Angeles last Friday.
According to representatives, Kelly received numerous remarks from fellow celebrities on how fantastic she looked on the night.
Cathy Sohn, Walker’s New York representative, says it is very exciting news. “It’s a big deal! Stylists put countless clothing options in front of Kelly constantly. We’re delighted Kelly chose one of Karen’s designs over possibly hundreds of others.”
Kelly was so delighted with the comments received about the funky prom dress, designed as part of Karen Walker’s new Spring/ Summer 03 collection ‘Young, Willing and Eager’, she has since placed an order for many more Karen Walker items.
“The ‘cool young set’ globally have been long-time fans of the label,” says Walker. “My latest collection, ‘Young, Willing and Eager’, was inspired by 50’s teen exploitation and juvenile delinquent films,” she says. “And who better to represent this range than Kelly Osbourne!”
Walker is no stranger to dressing celebrities. Her designs feature on Kate Winslet in her latest movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Liv Tyler has already ordered key items from the new collection and is a regular customer, as is Clare Danes. Shirley Manson from rock band Garbage is a passionate fan, while Madonna chose a pair of Karen Walker pants to perform with Lenny Kravitz in front of 200 million people.
‘Young, Willing and Eager’ is due for New Zealand release in August 2003.
The Awards will be broadcast in the U.S. today, Thursday, 5 June, and on national television in New Zealand at a date to be advised. Further images of Kelly in her Karen Walker dress can be viewed at http:// http://www.wireimage.com or http://www.MTV.com.
