Strassman And Sidekicks To Return
David Strassman, the award-winning internationally renowned performer who has wowed audiences all over the world with his ingenious array of side-kick characters, returns to New Zealand for the first time in over two years — with the TWISTED TED E BARE TOUR — The fur will fly! A fast-paced show that will have you in stitches!
Strassman reports that Chuck Wood and Ted E Bare who are heading down under with him, will be “even more demented and lovable. The show is always developing” says Strassman.” “Characters grow in depth and more of their background is brought out with each performance. Technical improvements are always being made thanks to the brand new Robotics created by Hollywood’s legendary Jim Henson Productions and Strassman’s own special effects company, Puppetronics Corporation, also based in Hollywood.
Strassman has won numerous awards and has spent many years touring the world with his own solo show from London's prestigious West End, Universal Amphitheatre in LA, Edinburgh Festival in Scotland and in April 2003 he completed a 3-month headliner season in Las Vegas.
He has enjoyed television success in England, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand where he had high rated TV Talk shows in each of these countries. In New Zealand his Talk Show was highly successful. During the series special guests included Georgina Beyer, Rima Te Wiata, and Helen Clark. Kiwi comedian Mike King had a regular spot to discuss and analyse with Chuck – Maori Culture, Parliament, Kiwi sayings and our obsession with sport.
The ratings were phenomenal and confirmed Strassman’s enormous popularity in New Zealand.
