Pine to New York
Hello there,
Pine are off to New York and all over the show and are on telly, Fang are off to Christchurch, and the rest of the gang are just going off anyway...
Pine to New York The big news for us at Arch Hill HQ is that Pine have been invited to play the Summer Stage in Central Park New York. The event is to be held on July the 13th as part of the New Zealand Music day. Pine will be heading over with Greg Johnson, King Kapisi and Wai 100%. The usual audience at one of these free things is up around 30,000. The Summer Stage line up was chosen by the New York organisers, one of whom - Rick Arnstein - took a particular liking to Pine at the World Series last year. Those good folks at the Music Industry Commission, Industry NZ and Trade NZ are putting together the NZ part of it (thanks), while Arch Hill has been delegated the responsibility of deciding which two Pinesters will travel inside the third members luggage.
If you want to see the full series schedule, which includes the likes of Wilco, Sonic Youth and the White Stripes, go to http://www.summerstage.org/schedule2003/index.html
Pine on Telly Look out for Pine celebrating their Summer Stage selection by re-enacting a real life band practice on TV3 News at 6pm tonight (Monday).
