Relish Group presents3 great composers

Relish Group presents COMPOSER FOCUS Three great composers in the Wellington Town Hall!
Continuing the highly successful 'Composer Focus' series, the NZSO will host a second series of three concerts in the Wellington Town Hall, specialising in the music of Strauss, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev respectively. These are scheduled for May, August and October.
On Friday 23 May, Austrian conductor Christian Gansch, will be on the podium with diva Malvina Major performing an excerpt from the opera Capriccio as well as the seductive music of the famous 'Dance of the Seven Veils', a rhapsodic waltz sequence from Der Rosenkavalier and two stories in music - Don Juan and Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks.
Christian Gansch has worked with numerous European orchestras, including the Russian National Orchestra where he is a regular guest conductor. He also works on a regular basis with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, and will make his first appearance at the Proms with them this year.
These concerts are proudly supported by Relish, glorious food and events.
