Free lectures in Wellington (28-29 April) commencing tonight, by New Age expert
DR PETER JONES, former Professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological
Seminary in Escondido, California, are expected to attract a large audience.
The lectures are co-sponsored by The Wellington Christian Apologetics Society
Inc. (www.christian-apologetics.org)and The Wellington Reformed Churches. Dr
Jones has just completed an extensive speaking tour of Australia prior to

Dr Peter Jones was born in Liverpool. In school days he was a friend of John
Lennon - with whom he shared a school desk for 5 years. From university he was
influenced by Francis Schaeffer and other Christian writers. Peter Jones is
currently Professor of New Testament at Westminster Theological Seminary in
California in Escondido, California. He holds an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell
Theological Seminary, a Th.M. from Harvard Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from
Princeton Theological Seminary. He is author of several books including The
Gnostic Empire Strikes Back (1992), Gospel Truth, Pagan Lies: Can You Tell the
Difference? (1999) and Pagans in the Pews (2001)
