Possum Update - 24 April
Possum Bourne remains in a serious but stable condition in Dunedin Hospital's Intensive Car Unit in a drug induced coma.
Possum's wife Peggy and his family remain at his bedside.
"I'm so proud of him for putting up this amazing fight in his battle to overcome this tragedy," said Peggy.
"The response from the New Zealand public and rally fans, indeed from people all around the world has been amazing."
"Their concerns and care for Possum has been so clearly expressed through cards, faxes, emails and messages, which continue to give us strength."
"Everybody knows the incredible passion Possum has for rallying. I know he wishes everybody well at this weekend's Canberra Rally, especially his Subaru team-mates."
"Just by being there Cody (Crocker), Greg (Folletta), Dean (Herridge) and Glenn (McNeill) and the whole team are doing Possum proud."
