95bFM Press Release
Jeremy "Newsboy" Wells and Steve Simpson join forces this weekend for the launch of 95bFM's essential new Saturday morning show, The Saturday Morning Achievers' Club.
The Saturday 9am to noon slot has up till now belonged to Mikey Havoc's 'Trailer with a Cage', but became vacant with Mikey's move this week to a new show from 10am to noon every weekday.
"An excellent opportunity arose to have the best of both worlds,² says 95bFM general manager Aaron Carson,. ³And we went for it. We¹re really excited about adding two very strong shows to an already-proven line up².
Wells and Simpson, both longtime contributors to the station, will sauté up a smorgasbord of news, history, sport, politics, film, and contemporary life in Auckland City all while playing the best music money can¹t buy. Regular features will include ³Hairy Scary Conspiracy Theory², ³How Was Your Night Last Night, Professor?² and possibly the ³The Small Appliance Review² with Graham Brazier plus interviews, games, reviews and mysterious bouts of nudge-nudge-wink-wink, how¹s-your-father.
Meanwhile 95bFM's weekday morning lineup is stronger than ever, as Hugh Sundae, host of the flagship 6am to 10am Breakfast show, hands the daily baton over to Mr Havoc, creating what experts describe as a longer-lasting listening experience.
³I¹m stoked!" declares 95bFM programme director, Dubhead. "We can now present both Hugh Sundae and Mr Havoc on the weekdays, and two of our sassiest poster boys on Saturday mornings."
95bFM continues to deliver the best new music, local culture and comment Auckland has to offer. For the full rundown of 95bFM's new programme schedule, which includes changes to shows outside these times, please consult our website, at www.95bfm.com, where they'll be posted on Friday, April 18.
