The Kinesthetic Eye
An International Dance for the Camera Screening at (e)-vision, the corner of Wakefield and Blair Streets in Wellington
Monday, March 31st, 8pm, $10 at the door
This event celebrates the dynamic and exciting genre of dance made explicitly for film or video. Featured works from New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the USA will be shown stemming from the traditions of modern dance, site-specific and improvisational dance.
The evening will open with excerpts from BodyCartography's new work created and shot on location on Wharepapa in Kahurangi National Park. The BodyCartography Project were this year's big fringe winners with their show Lagoon.
Featured recent works by 33 Fainting Spells (USA), Douglas Rosenberg (USA), Vicky Chainey Gagnon (Canada) the BodyCartography Project (NZ/USA), & others.
