1 Giant Leap Performs Live With Whirimako Black
Three years ago, Jamie Catto, film maker and founding member of Faithless, joined forces with UK producer Duncan Bridgeman to create 1 Giant Leap.
They embarked upon a global journey that included Senegal, Ghana, South Africa, Uganda, India, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom, equipped only with laptop computers, a digital video camera, and a vision.
Their vision: to capture and share with others the unique fusion of sound, image and spoken word from some of the world's most influential artists and musicians such as Neneh Cherry, Michael Stipe, Dennis Hopper and Baaba Maal as well as Aotearoa's Whirimako Black.
1 Giant Leap - the album - was a worldwide smash, and now you have the opportunity to experience the vision live!
This Saturday, March 1, at Helensville's Grand Hotel, Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman are joined by Whirimako Black and special guests to perform 1 Giant Leap live.
This is a one-off event and numbers are strictly limited.
Tickets are $30 from Real Groovy, or limited door sales on Saturday night. Show starts at 7.30pm sharp.
Don't miss 1 Giant Leap at the Grand Hotel, Helensville, only 40 minutes from Auckland city along the northwestern motorway.
Dinner and accomodation available.
