A new Maori Current Affairs Show has begun on Auckland Maori Radio Station - Radio Waatea 603 am
Paakiwaha - The News Bearer
Funded by New Zealand On Air it is the ONLY in-depth Maori Current Affairs Show currently on New Zealand radio
The show is hosted by former Alliance MP Willie Jackson and produced by award winning producer Claudette Hauiti ( Producer of 'Gang Girls, and Rugby Wives )
Jackson says " the show is a great opportunity to present current affairs from a Maori perspective in 'English' . Something sadly missing in New Zealand print and media at the moment."
The show runs from 10am to 12pm every Monday and is syndicated through the Maori radio network
Guests to date have been:
ACT Leader Richard Prebble, Wi Huata, Merepeka Raukawa - Taite, Arthur Anae, Hone Harawira, Georgina Te Heu Heu and Ella Henry,
