What a Weekend!
The weekend that has just been was crazy. Not only did we have the Quiksilver Airshow on at Piha, but we also had the Vodafone X*Air in Hamilton and Soundsplash 2003 on at Raglan.
The reports that came back from our people on the ground was that all the events went off and were extremely successful. Major Mondayitis for everyone involved!
The X* Air went off with Tony Hawk making a personal appearance and blowing a few minds. The standard of skating, Freestyle Motocross, and wakeboarding was x-tremely high!
The Quiksilver Airshow was won by Australian Ry Craike. Just the most amazing aerials were being boosted. Jay Papworth was the highest placing New Zealander, finishing 10th over all. The sounds were brill as well with 3 D.j.'s giving it death. Even some of the crowd were dancing on the beach. You had to wonder what they were on.
The Sound Splash 2003 was an awesome two day music festival at Raglan, attracting plenty of dedicated music followers. This event will only get bigger & better!
Oh...and did I mention the Sevens at the caketin wasn't half bad either!
