Extreme Improvised Comedy
It’s all funny until someone gets hurt, and then it’s hilarious! 11pm Fri Feb 28, 11pm Sat Mar 1, Bats Theatre, 1 Kent Tce Wellington
If You Still Think It’s The Emotional Scars That Hurt The Most, You Haven’t Seen Xprov!
For all those who ever watched a theatresports player guess a famous person and thought “where’s the incentive?” In Xprov the incentive’s hot wax on the nipples.
For all those who ever watched an improvised scene and thought “how badly could this go?” In Xprov they just might drown.
If “Whose line is it anyway” and “Fear Factor” had a bastard lovechild, XPROV would be its name. It’s Improv like you just don’t see outside Russian prisons anymore. Funnier than torture, more painful than standup. After a record breaking 2002 season at Auckland’s Classic Comedy & Bar, this award winning show slams into Wellington for the first time ever, and for two nights only. No points, no judges, just comedy & pain.
In 1970’s Calgary Canada, Keith Johnstone invented theatresports, in Wellington NZ 2003, Xprov take it one step too far……
Bring the kids – we dare you.
